Episode 10
• I loved how hard Hye-sung defended Soo-ha and tried to protect him throughout the episode.
• I loved that moment when Hye-sung put her hand over Soo-ah's and then just left it there as she continued talking about the case and Soo-ha kept glancing down at it. Also the hand-hold during the trial at the end.
• I liked the Do-yeon/Hye-sung meeting and Do-yeon sincerely trying to help Hye-sung. Dare I hope for an eventual friendship?
• I love that Choong Ki not only went to visit Soo-ha to try and help him recover his memories but that he came back every day to read it to Soo-ha. I loved watching Soo-ha hearing about his past, in his own words, for the first time.
• Kwan-woo and Yoo-chang still being friends was great. I loved that Yoo-chang brought all the case files on the hike already planning on involving Kwan-woo. The slow motion running hug was amusing too.
• Okay, this show has done a lot of really dumb crime/legal stuff but this episode was far worse than normal. There were a lot of things that annoyed me during it [like, why send Yoo Chang to investigate the tip caller the day of the trial, or why didn't they look into alibis of other suspects] but the pinnacle of it was the mind-bogglingly stupid 'crime scene reenactment'. I refuse to believe it's a real thing. I've been able to ignore everything else [though seriously Choon-shim's head wound should have been obviously murder] but this whole scene was actively aggravating while watching. Why would they take a suspect to reenact a crime at the 'crime scene'? They don't even know that is the crime scene! It's where they found a hand in the water! They don't even have a bloody body. Not to mention that Soo-ha has already stated he has amnesia whether they believe him or not. WTF was with the reporters/cameras being literally right there in his face as the 'reenactment' was done? Why would they be allowed to be there? Why does this case even have this much coverage? It's not like he left some gorey scene with pieces of Joon-gook's body strewn everywhere. It was a hand. Of a murderer wanted for attempted murder. Why the hell are they even doing a reenactment anyway? He hasn't been convicted of a crime, he hasn't even gone to court! I am honestly kind of angry at this nonsense.
Also because I was so annoyed about all of the above the fact that all these characters have converged once again on the same case bugged me more then it might have otherwise. Hye-sung was a former victim of Joon-gook, Kwan-woo was his lawyer, Judge Kim the judge who ruled on the case, Do-yeon the prosecutor - there is so much conflict of interest happening here.
Episode 11
• This was such a great Hye-sung/Soo-ha episode!
+ That last scene was so perfect! I have so much love for her returning to the coffee shop for him because she knew he would still be sitting there because she knows him. I love that when she drops the umbrella he picks it up and holds it over her head, completely ignoring the fact that he's still being rained on, because memories or not Soo-ha's first impulse is always to protect Hye-sung. I loved his smile at her.
+ Loved that scene in the hallway. The way he cradled her head to gentle pull it to his shoulder, the way he kissed her palm and then wrapped his hands around her hand and kissed it again killed me. He doesn't even truly remember how much he loved her [though his diary is a big clue] but a part of him still clearly feels it.
+ I loved that she left a bunch of post it note messages and instructions on his fridge. That even planning to cut him off she's still trying to take care of him. I loved the montage of him taking one off and doing it before happily grabbing another. I liked the little sneak compliment she put in there about how he was always smart. I loved him crumpling up the 'find a girlfriend' note and the little disgusted lip curl he does, lol.
+ It was so painful watching her be so cold and dismissive of him and the way he broke down begging her not to leave him. It's totally understandable - to go from having her as his advocate, always there supporting and believing in him, giving him affectionate touches, telling him what to do and fixing things to her completely gone and refusing to even talk to him would of course be a huge shock.
+ I totally didn't see the reason for why she was acting like this coming at all. I didn't think she'd acknowledge that her feelings for him were strong so quickly. I kind of love that it's happened while he has amnesia though. Right now she can actually lie to him so it's giving her more room to work out her feelings for him. It also puts her in Soo-ha's position where she has deeper feelings for someone who doesn't understand it.
• I loved the scene between Judge Kim and Hye-sung. The whole thing was a delight. I loved that he saved her and then him trying to get her to thank him. I loved him grumbling to himself about her attitude and then when she came back warily leaned away from her all 'I didn't say anything'. Then her hiding behind his robes and ordering him to walk, which he did, made me lol. Also him trying to get the last word by pointing out that her skirt was backwards and her casually twisting it back around without a blink was the best. She's totally his favourite lawyer.
• The fact that Sung-bin still goes to Hye-sung's office to do her nails and chat makes me ridiculously happy. It's such a small little throwaway thing but I love it.
• Hye-sung's little mimed threat at the cop - that she'd kill him if he lied and she was watching him - was hilarious.
• Do-yeon got really vicious there at the end and her confronting Hye-sung in the hall and saying she felt bad for her mom was so over the line. She made up for it slightly at the end by questioning the tipster but why wasn't that done earlier?
• Poor Kwan-woo. I really was expecting them to get back together and date for awhile though I guess in the long run this is better for him. I am happy that he's back to being a lawyer and that his relationship with Hye-sung appears to be fixed.
