There were some things I liked but overall meh.

+ My biggest issue by far was with how really sexist the movie was. It permeated the whole thing in a really casual way and just ugh. Also all those ass shots of Harley made me think of the fan service in High School of the Dead and the random panty shots during zombie fights. They gave me the same ew feeling. Other issues - the plot, the editing, the lack of characterisation for a bunch of characters.

+ Harley was great. I loved her. I was pleased with her based on the trailer but Margot Robbie gave a great performance and really sold everything about Harley. Great casting. I really want a Harley Quinn movie now.

+ I actually enjoyed Harley/Joker. It feels weird because I usually don't and now I want more of them. It's definitely the fact that the Joker is just as crazily devoted to Harley as she is to him in this version that makes them work. I love that he basically spent the whole movie trying to get her back. It's kind of nice that at least in one universe her love is returned.

+ Joker was, at times and in some strange way, almost attractive. Okay, mostly in that moment when he takes off his coat and dives into the vat after Harley I found myself going hmmm.

+ I liked Deadshot. Will Smith is basically always charming and likeable and this movie was no different.

+ I loved what we got with Deadshot/Harley and their growing friendship. I loved their little bonding moments. I actually believed it when he chose not to shoot her. Of all the characters they got the most believable build.

+ Viola Davis was great as The Wall. I love how charcoal her morals are and her competence. I just wish that the plot had been better and it hadn't been her messing up that caused so much of the problems in the movie.

+ El Diablo's sacrifice 'for his new family' didn't work for me so much. I would have bought him trying to make amends for his past but he's known these people for a couple hours and the time just wasn't put into making his connection to their feel real enough.

+ As a whole I wasn't sold on the Suicide Squad genuinely coming to care for each other. Most of them were kind of superfluous.

+ Katana was fine but I wish she'd had more to do. Also she was apparently there to watch Flag's back... and then we don't see her do it even once. Okay.

+ In what universe would Enchantress say, "You don't have the balls"? It makes no sense.

+ Honestly a lot of this movie made no sense.

So overall, meh.
