Episode 9
• Gun/Mi Young are adorable. I loved their little morning goodbye cuteness and their gigglyness while working at the restaurant. I loved the kiss at the end. Finally!
• Gun and Daniel’s childish one-upmanship at the photo shoot was hilarious though I think my favourite part was how completely unphased by it Mi Young was. Loved that whole scene.
• Hold on, wait a second -- Se Ra might be Daniel’s missing sister?? I… That is not at all how I thought how this was going to go. I was so certain that Mi Young was Daniel’s sister. This completely changes things. Now I’m watching the next scene between them – which is lovely as usual – with him angry at Gun for putting her in these situations and at himself for being helpless to help her, and then doing his best to take care of her and it feels completely different!
• "It’s no one’s fault." Yeah, no, it’s literally Mr. Park and Mr. Choi’s fault. I feel like, even though Gun knows he was drugged, at this point it’s never actually going to come up again and there will be no consequences for the two of them and it bothers me.
Episode 10
• That kiss was great, especially for a kdrama kiss, and I loved the scene following it which was really sweet and lovely.
• I kind of hit a cultural wall during the whole divorce contract reveal and how it played out. I mainly felt super annoyed at everyone butting into Gun and Mi Young’s personal business but what bothered me particularly was mom physically taking Mi Young away when she didn’t want to go. She’s not a child, wtf? That’s always something that can be hard for me to emotional get in Asian dramas. I really appreciated that her anger was very much about how Gun made Mi Young miserable and hurt her, which true enough, but it’s not the whole truth and certainly not the current truth. That in turn led me to be super annoyed with Mi Young and Gun for not explaining the situation better. They have strong feelings for each other now and are actually really happy together, so speak up, yeesh! I wanted to tell everyone to get a grip.
• I loved Gun's concern for Mi Young during the meeting especially him taking her hand in support and then telling the head of the family in a very serious tone that he won't tolerate him saying anything about Mi Young or her mother.
• I like Daniel a lot and I love his relationship with Mi Young but I’ve rather enjoyed having him as a not average secondary male lead, I liked when I thought he was her brother and I find myself wishing that it’d stay like that.
• I feel so badly for Se Ra. This is pretty much just terrible for her all around.
• I really liked Mi Young’s comfort scene with her mom. I do love that much of mom’s anger was displaced upset over Mi Young being hurt and sadness that her soft-hearted daughter kept all the pain she was going through to herself instead of leaning on her mom and sisters for support.
• I loved the Mi Young/Yong bonding scene. I think this is actually only our second scene ever with them? I wish they’d interacted more but this was lovely all the same. I also liked him helping her to escape to meet Gun.
• "Why are you overreacting?" – Dr. Moon. Heh. This amused me a ridiculous amount but honestly Dr. Moon has been treating Gun all his life so there is no way he doesn't know him well enough to know that 'overreacting' is Gun's base setting.
• Good god was there a lot of ridiculousness this episode. Yong’s happiness at getting a compliment from Gun and Manager Tak’s jealousy was great but then it lead into them literally dancing for Gun’s praise and Manager Tak pushing out his butt for a praise smack, lol. The very height of it was the escape attempts. The guys dressing up as high school students to fool the press and all the utter nonsense that entailed was just silly though the way Gun and Tak ran away was super amusing. The Idiot Duo at least had a better idea in bribing the press but then that devolved into even more silliness. And of course Gun’s usual nonsense with added sexual frustration.
