Supergirl 2x03 Thoughts
Nov. 14th, 2016 11:17 pmWelcome to Earth
+ "And for the record she's the one who's lucky to meet you." - J'onn to Kara. Aww.
+ Alex and Maggie's interactions were pretty great and I definitely saw some chemistry there.
+ I liked the Kara/Lena scenes. I love that Kara admitted to doing a hatchet job on Lena at first and that Lena took it so well.
+ I enjoyed Kara fangirling over the President.
+ I appreciated the message of the episode (even if they were very anvilly about it) but watching it after the US election was pretty wince inducing.
Nitpicks:
+ It really bothered me that Maggie took Alex to the hidden alien bar. At this point all she knows about Alex is that she's a DEO Agent, who she knows hunts down aliens. For all she knew Alex could hate aliens. It was a massive risk that could have put a bunch of people in danger.
+ Mon-El grabbing Kara by the throat and throwing her into a wall being enough to take her out of the fight was ridiculous. It would have been far better to replace Kara with Alex in that scene and have Kara show up after he escaped.
+ When the president was under attack I was mentally yelling at Kara when her response was to fly up to try and find the source instead of getting the president out of the line of fire first. I mean it sure was lucky the fire hit her secret service agents first before going for her!
+ Mon-El's name is weird to me. He's not a Krypton so him having the same name as our Kryptonian heroes is - weird.
