The 100 4x01 Thoughts

Yay, so happy this show is back. There were a lot of great little character interactions and as a whole it was a good episode. Best of all Clarke and Bellamy were back in-step as partners and co-leaders!
• I can't believe that Octavia climbed down the outside of the tower. Damn.
• Yay for Octavia and Indra's reunion. I love Octavia telling Indra that she killed Pike after everything was over. Heh.
• "Besides I could use a break from keeping you alive." - Bellamy. Aw he made a joke. His little smile was adorable.
• I loved how Clarke was walking when Abby and Kane first see her. She's surrounded by very hostile Grounders who blame them for their current suffering and hate her specifically and yet she walks into the scene with a 'don't give a shit/I am not intimidated' swagger. She was in full on Wanheda/leader mode. Lexa would be so proud.
• So much love for Raven asking after Clarke first thing. Also for Clarke acknowledging that Raven saved her ass.
• I loved Bellamy coming in hot, pissed off and worried for Clarke, and Clarke's 'Bellamy don't'.
• I'm actually really interested in Echo/Bellamy and how their relationship plays out. They've got a really great backstory - he saved her, she used that bond to betray him and kill his people (and girlfriend) but also saved his life - and I want to see how the show builds on that. She seemed disappointed when Bellamy told her at the end that he didn't think they could ever trust each other again. But this is definitely not a relationship where I can see Bellamy maintaining only anger and hate towards her. With his post-Pike attitude adjustment and his shame over the Trikru army massacre, I feel like there is room for eventual understanding.
... If she doesn't continue her efforts to kill everyone which I'm not sold she's going to do. She was not impressed by Roan's speech. I'm pretty sure that she's going to be trouble.
• I loved Clarke running to Roan. I loved her calling him her friend.
• Kane reassuring Abby and the face caress was lovely and I loved Clarke seeing it, having a moment of realization and her slight smile of acceptance/happiness for her mom.
• YES Kane/Idra! Best reunion ever! I loved his hesitance and shame, and how hard a time he had meeting Indra's eyes and then she just pulls him in for a slight hug. Awwwww, I am so happy that this BFF pair are still BFFs.
• I loved Clarke looking to Bellamy before telling the others the truth. After Mount Weather Bellamy wanted them to share their burden together but Clarke couldn't. This time she is. I love that they're making decisions together.
• Clarke and her crazy plans. I love everyone's expressions at "we're going to surrender". And yet they still follow her plan because that's who she is (because that's who they make her) - the person who comes up with the plans and tells people what to do.
• Octavia is such a badass. A very scary badass. I loved that shot of her cutting her way out of the shroud and the way she dealt with the guards would have made Indra proud. The spear to the head for the healer was perhaps a bit much. I loved Abby's horrified judgy reaction when she saw him.
• Octavia and Clarke's meeting of eyes and nod of acknowledgement was small but I'll take it! I've pretty much accepted that I'm never going to get the friendship I want but at this point I'll happily take allies who understand each other.
• Nice little Bellamy/Murphy moment. I hope Murphy abandoning the rest of Skaikru doesn't cause them to backslide.
• Nooo Murphy don't leave now! He had better be heading for Arkadia as opposed to wandering off into his own side plot again because, damn it, I want him back interacting with the 100 again.
• I liked Abby and Clarke's little moment in the cell and Clarke getting a moment to grieve.
• "It's always something with you, isn't it?" - Roan. Somewhere on the road Murphy just found himself nodding his head. I really love Clarke and Roan together so I hope they don't spend all season separated.
• Clarke handing over Lexa/ALIE.2 to get Roan on her side was great. It was a large sacrifice for her, painful, and I think Roan understood that. And of course being Clarke she's always ready to make the big sacrifices for the greater good.
• I liked Bellamy's look at Clarke when Roan held up the flame.
• What no goodbye between Bellamy and Octavia beyond a slight lecture from big brother? No real interaction at all in fact. That's disappointing. I mean I know they're still in a bad place because of Lincoln but something more would have nice.
• "Princess", aww. I like the return of his nickname for her.
