The 100 4x02 Thoughts

It as okay.
• Octavia was amazing. She looked amazing - this is such a good look for her. Also scary, very very scary. It was delightful. Assassin/spy Octavia is great. I'm a bit worried for her but mostly really enjoying this turn her story has taken. I loved her little moment with Ilian where she tells him sincerely (and in his language) that she's sorry for his loss.
• But seriously where did Octavia learn how to assassinate someone like that?
• I loved Kane's reaction to assassin Octavia. I love that he instantly knew. Actually everyone who vaguely knew her seemed to guess the truth which amuses me. I really want to see some Octavia vs Echo now.
• I'm face palming so much at Team Farm Station Trip right now. Guys, no. Just no. Not only did they destroy a very necessary piece for everyone's survival, a piece they can't replicate, but they also seriously endangered (perhaps destroyed) a very fragile peace with the Grounders. I was definitely on Monty and Miller's side here.
They did have other options and they weren't good ones (it was a terrible choice! They're always terrible choices!) but they were better than the one they chose. Wait and bring it up with Roan was even an option they brought up. The fact that the prisoner slaves were being moved isn't really a good enough reason to change that, imo. Not at that cost. Or they apparently made it back to Arkadia the same day so they could have come back for reinforcements and gone back to save everyone (a bad idea for the peace but better for their future survival!)
Clarke really should have gone with them to Farm Station. I mean sure, hard ethics choices and mass murder are her thing but in this case she would have put her foot down and abandoned the slaves for the greater good.
• We had some nice Clarke/Raven scenes with arguing over what to do but also supporting each other. I'm sad that they're once again back to being at odds by the end. Is it too much to hope for Clarke/Bellamy/Raven to be back working as a team? That said I did love Raven and Clarke's 'wtf Bellamy' reactions when he returned.
• I'm really happy about Monty having a bigger role (thus far) and especially his addition to the inner circle. I hope this continues.
• Jasper did not annoying me. It was unexpected but nice. His goodbye with Monty at the shower made me smile and I actually like his uncompromisingness with Clarke and her choices. He thinks she's wrong and says it (but perhaps more importantly doesn't actually try and circumvent her and tell everyone himself which is interesting.)
• I liked how they framed Clarke's choice to lie about their survival chances - with Raven/Jasper on one side telling her to tell the truth, the repeated mentions of her father and the situation on the Ark that lead to the pilot and her conversation about leadership with Jaha. But I agree with Raven on this and think Clarke's decision is going to come back to bite her and soon.
• Abby and Kane are sweet. I liked her getting rid of her wedding ring and thus letting go of the past for him. ...I'm a little worried about both their survival chances.
• I liked how Miller and Bryan's breakup happened. I actually love that we had Bryan grieving and upset over Pike's murder (and Miller not understanding it) because it makes complete sense. I love how Bryan's experience have caused such a huge disagreement on some very major issues between them. I feel like last season really dropped the ball on the whole Farm Station situation and I wish we'd gotten more of this.
