We Will Rise

I liked it.

• I enjoyed all the lab scenes. Raven and Murphy's terse sniping was fun and I loved Raven's "Murphy. Thanks" at the end. It was a great moment made all the more so by how tense their relationship is and how Raven wasn't able to apologise after attacking him. I loved everything with them.

"I think peace is overrated. It's the fighters that survive." Murphy was excellent. I loved his snark and his worry for Raven and him playing with the remote control car. His scene with Luna was really great too and I loved both of them in it. I loved him coming back to help Raven figure out how to fix things. I adored him trying to remember/repeat what Luna said to Raven so her could use it to help Raven. He cares so much and refuses to admit it and I just want someone to hug him. Also I'm really worried about his continued survival this season - keep being a survivor Murphy!

• Luna comforting and calming Raven down was so great. Still shipping it.

• I loved the Clarke/Niylah scene. I love how they are with each other and I think Niylah is really good for Clarke. I loved Clarke asking Niylah to stay at Arkadia (to stay safe.)

• I love that Clarke has her picture of Lexa up on her wall and that moment of her looking at it was really nice.

• Niylah was great all around. I love that she noticed the lack of guards and cared enough upon hearing the ranting to bring it to someone with authority. I also liked her helping Octavia.

• The fact that no one died made me go 'wait seriously?' Has that ever happened on this show ever? Someone always dies! Weird.

• The Clarke and Kane scene was really lovely. Kane worrying about Abby, Clarke reassuring him and gently letting him know that she knows about him and Abby and then the hugs! I loved the hug.

• The Roan/Clarke/Bellamy team up was fun though not as awesome as I was hoping for. But that last fight was fun - Roan taking out the warrior in the back, Bellamy expression as he looked at Clarke when the Azgeda put the knife to her throat, Bellamy's 'come on Clarke' and Clarke elbowing the warrior so Bellamy could make that frankly spectacular shot, and then her stopping the truck just before hitting Bellamy... I enjoyed it all.

• I enjoyed Roan a lot even though he didn't really do a lot. But team player Roan going along with Clarke is great, I liked his scenes with Bellamy, and him jumping onto the truck and fighting one of his warriors.

"It's all anyone cares about. Except maybe Clarke." - Roan. ... yeah, still shipping Clarke/Roan. He just respects and admires her so much, I love it. I really liked that little moment at the end with Clarke and her reassuring him that he is a good king and him not entirely buying it.

"She'll come around and see how special you are." - Clarke. I loved it but her choice of 'special' is interesting because it doesn't actually make sense with Octavia and Bellamy? Octavia doesn't need to 'see how special' Bellamy is. That's not the issue with their relationship. So instead it feels very much like Clarke taking the opportunity to tell Bellamy that she thinks he's special.

• What was Bellamy going to say before she interrupted? I don't think he would have come right out and said 'I love you' yet, though I do firmly believe that at this point Bellamy is in love and more importantly aware that he's in love with her. I'm not sure what he was going to say.

• Bellamy's exasperated "Being Clarke" when Clarke got out of the truck to talk to the Trikru people amused me a lot.

• I loved the unofficial council set up with Clarke, Kane, Bellamy, Monty and Roan.

• It was nice to hear Wells mentioned again.

• Jaha setting off the black rain alarm was a pretty good idea.

• I thought after the end of the last episode we would be starting on the path to a Bellamy/Octavia make-up but whoa nope. Her coldness with Bellamy and telling him that the only reason she hadn't killed him was because he was her brother was painful. Octavia's breakdown was also really painful and well done. Poor Octavia.

• Poor Kane, trying to protect everyone and do the right thing, and it never going well. I'm disappointed in Senior Miller but at the same time I understand why he made that choice.

• Harper's absence during the episode was really felt. Even a line about her being on a hunting trip would have helped.
