Doctor Who 10x01 Thoughts

I really enjoyed it.
+ I love Bill. She's a delight.
+ Bill/Doctor are fun already. I adore the way she completely deflates him by not reacting in ways that he expects. I loved her reaction to the TARDIS and his reaction to that. I loved him offering to tutor her.
+ I loved the pictures of River and Susan on the Doctor's desk. That was so lovely. Also him talking to them, heh.
+ I'm intrigued by the overarching mystery of the vault and the Doctor's promise. What could keep him stationary for 50 years? Also I like the twist that the season mystery is about the Doctor.
+ So is there some mysterious hidden connection between the Doctor and Bill/her mom (perhaps the promise) or did the Doctor just go back in time to take pictures of her mom for Bill? If it's the latter - awwww!
+ Clara (and honestly every Companion but specific to Twelve) would be so proud of the Doctor - he noticed that Bill was freaked out and asked her what was wrong! And then later he asked her how he could help her!
