God Complex

+ I loved Clarke. I loved her taking the lead on pushing everyone forward and continuing to make the hard choices. I liked that she was cleaning out the radiation chamber with Luna because it felt like a visual representation of her dealing with the consequence of her choice. She wasn't hiding from it. I also liked that she went to collect Emori herself. She could have simply sent Roan and Miller but she faced Emori and Murphy herself.

I freaking adored her final choice of injecting herself. I loved her repeating 'we bare it so that they don't have to' and taking that ghost of Mount Weather that hovered over the entire episode and made a different choice. She changed the meaning of Dante's phrase from being above everyone else making the hard choices to making herself one of the group, of making the sacrifice physically personal not just mentally.

+ Clarke/Roan scene was wonderful and I loved everything about it and them. They just have such a great relationship. I love that he tried to comfort Clarke, and in a way continued to be a mentor.

+ The Clarke/Murphy scene was perfect. Really powerful, wonderfully acted especially by Richard Harmon. I loved Murphy reminding Clarke that 'while she was saving everyone, he was saving her'. I loved him pleading with her and telling her he loved Emori. The whole scene was so effective in large part because of Clarke and Murphy's scenes in season 3 (in particular him being there at Lexa's death) and he was definitely what changed her mind.

+ I loved Raven's little 'no' after Clarke injected herself.

+ Monty saving the day! I loved that he figured out the key.

+ Roan was great. I love that he was 100% certain that their path was the right one. I loved his 'ugh nightbloods' reaction after fighting Luna (lol).

+ I'm really glad that Emori survived. The Emori/Murphy scene was lovely. I half thought that Emori might try to save herself by getting Murphy to volunteer to take her place but instead she was all about convincing Murphy to survive so I guess she really does love him.

+ So Clarke's a Nightblood now. I wonder if this is going to mean that Commander Clarke is going to happen with her taking the Chip? I could go with that except it definitely means Luna is going to die and I want her to stick around!

+ Both of the mothers on the show made possibly catastrophic decisions based on overwhelming emotion - Abby destroying the radiation chamber out of fear for Clarke and Indra killing the Azgeda out of rage for the murder of her people. It was an interesting parallel having them make these choices. I understood their choices, particularly Abby, but I was still face-palming at both of them.

+ I do however absolutely understand Indra's anger and think it's well deserved. Has there been any communication between Indra/Trikru and Skaikru since the Azgeda alliance was made, or even before that did Skaikry try to contact her after the embassy massacre? (Did Trikru know the black rain was coming, even?) This leads to a problem I have with how this has all played out because I guess a part of me assumed the Skaikru/Trikru alliance was still on regardless of Clarke and Roan's alliance. And yes in the background we had Trikru vs Azgeda but it wasn't really dwelled on? Except no, it appears that Skaikru hasn't talked to Trikru at all? So Indra learned about Azgeda/Skaikru via her people in the woods (that were denied help regardless of the reason) and made logical assumptions based on that? WTF? How... I don't even have words. Just, why? Why hasn't Skaikru being keeping in touch with their oldest allies? I don't get it.

+ So Abby is taking her hallucination of radiation Clarke as proof that the Nightblood wouldn't work - did she think this when she injected 'Bayliss' and was planning on injecting Emori or did she only make the (possible) connection when Clarke put herself forward for radiation testing?

+ I am both disappointed and super annoyed by how little Miller was in this episode. Of all the characters he was the one held captive in Mount Weather the longest. We should have gotten more of a reaction from him - regardless of what side he took. The fact that he seemed so firmly on side 'experiment to live' is believable but also something I needed and wanted expanded upon. Even just one scene of Miller vs Raven on the subject would have been enough.

+ I actually liked the Jasper/Bellamy scenes and Jasper genuinely trying to help Bellamy deal with and move on from his overwhelming guilt. It was nice to see him thinking about and caring for someone else! We even got a genuine Bellamy smile and who knows when the last time that happened. Plus I think enjoying yourself and having a party was probably a better use of time than angsting right at that moment. That said I'm pretty sure I'm going to be right back at 'shut up Jasper' in the next episode.

+ So this isn't the end of the whole Nightblood storyline right? Even if they can't test it they'll have to give start giving everyone Nightblood with fingers crossed that it will work anyway, right? If this storyline is dropped I'm going to be annoyed. Actually thinking about this won't they need both Nightblood and a bunker to survive? Nightblood to survive the radiation. A bunker/a deep cave/tunnels to survive praimfyre.

+ Once again people are back to criticizing Clarke's choices while not actually offering viable options and it's really annoying. I think they all agreed that their choices were terrible but it's the freaking end of the world and possibly the end of the human species all together! And it's not like any of them were stepping up to the plate there, either with different or better ideas, or to volunteer.

+ So does the bunker being empty (and supposedly Becca's grave) mean that the survivors that Becca met when she landed on Earth were Cadogen's Level 12 Followers? So all/most/some of the Grounder's we know are all descended from Cadogen's cult? If that's true that actually makes the timeline of 97 years actually work a lot better for me.
