Dr. Bogdan Krilov

+ So did Red have Liz's memories wiped 2 years ago? I could see him doing it but the fact that Kate didn't have Krilov target Liz makes me doubt it. If he did do it recovering those memories would do a lot more to damage Liz's relationship with him than only insinuating. So I believe Red in this case.

+ I'm really surprised that Mr. Kaplan didn't target Liz and that Red wasn't more worried that that was her plan. You'd think Mr. Kaplan would consider Liz getting her memories back a high priority.

+ I'm feeling a little cheated that we had an episode with the doctor who erased Liz's memories and we still didn't get any answers! It's annoying.

+ I liked Liz a lot this episode and I'm glad that she got a lot to do. Her switching the letter at the hotel was a great use of her grifter skills that we don't often get to see. I loved her threatening Dr. Krilov with the needle to get him to spill Ressler's location. I thought she handled her meeting with Gale really well.

+ I loved Liz's big smile and nod at Dembe when she met with Red.

+ Kate's train caper was such a Red move to make. "I'll call you when I get there." Delightful. I'm enjoying their cat and mouse game so much.

+ Yikes, Red. Yeah, Dembe was right that he didn't kill Werner's son and it was a terrible accident that Red deeply regrets but it doesn't change the fact that he was responsible for it all the same.

+ I freaking love Red the long-term planner. He introduced Nicolas into Werner's confidence to be his spy 25 years ago because he knew there was a chance he'd need to take Werner out. The most interesting part - Nicolas stayed loyal to Red. He worked with Werner every day for 25 freaking years! And yet he stayed not only loyal to Red but so loyal that he was willing to kill Werner (and all the other guards/his co-workers). Now that is loyalty.

That is Red's greatest asset - his ability to inspire loyalty in people. What this latter half of the season is proving is that Harold's dig about everyone betraying Red is patently false. Although I have to say considering how many associates/work friends/partners Red either gets killed or kills himself it is a little surprising that people stay loyal to him.

+ For all Kate's talk of cleaning up her mess and fixing past mistakes she is acting exactly like Red. She chose to sacrifice Werner in order to create more chaos for Red. She's known him for 20 years and apparently they knew each other well but she still chose to tell him about his sons death (bringing him more pain) and then aimed him at Red. I very much doubt that she thought Werner would be able to kill Red which means there was only one other option - Red killing Werner. That is cold. I wonder if forcing Red into a position where he would need to kill someone he genuinely liked made it more appealing for her? Or was her "oh Raymond" reaction an indication that she was hoping that Red would decide to just stop? Could he decide not to act in that situation? I feel like no. Werner wanted vengeance, he was powerful and he wouldn't have stopped trying to kill Red until he died. So Kate's reaction then feels kind of... false. Like, she was disappointed even though she knew exactly what was going to happen. Red was never going to back away from his empire. So she sacrificed Werner because????

+ I really liked the Ressler/Liz scene. Liz talking Ressler down and him choosing to trust her over his own memories was great.

+ "And you're a murderer." Well, I mean to be fair so are you, Liz. So is Red by a lot. So is Tom. Glass houses and everything.

+ Poor Ressler. Once it was revealed that he was the target I actually thought they were going to erase the last 4 years from his memory and take him back to his Red hunting days. What actually happened was actually worse. His job is the most important thing in his life and Mr. Kaplan's very possibly imploded it. The investigators have to find drug residue but would that be enough to save his job?

+ Gale seriously needs to work on his personal space issues. The way he kept getting into Liz's face and looming over her was really starting to get to me. I was however pretty impressed by how he basically put everything together. Good job, crazy pants. He is so dead.

+ It's nice to see Liz in the field, Liz/Samar working together and them actually going into situations with a backup team.

+ I'm glad Dr. Orchard survived. I was so sure she was dead.

+ I'm confused about why exactly Red had Werner's son's body disappeared by Mr. Kaplan. Werner knew Red killed the men who took his son, there was no proof of Red ordering the kidnapping in the first place so why not give Werner his son's body and tell him that Red found him where the kidnappers were when he killed them?
