4x19 'All the Madame’s Men'

+ I love that Trip just accepted Jemma’s crazy rambling as true. I wish he’d tried to get more of a coherent explanation. Also I'm a little disappointed that Jemma didn't have more of a reaction to him. Yes, she's doing a better job of remembering 'not real' with regards to people in the Framework than Daisy but while knowing it's not real feeling it when confronted by a lost loved one is a completely different kettle of fish.

+ "Trip? That’s the best news I’ve heard all week." - Daisy.

+ Ward ‘losing’ Skye made me really worried but apparently this Ward really is a good guy. I thought we might see a return of a darker Ward when he took it badly. Instead I ended up feeling really bad for him.

+ Daisy quaking Madame Hydra off the Triskelion, in the middle of a speech, was awesome.

+ Fitz is in an interesting position here because on the one hand he’s basically been brainwashed like Daisy was last season and thus isn’t responsible for his actions. But on the other, this Fitz is (I assume) a realistic look at who Fitz could have been if he’d been raised by his father which mirrors quite closely to Ward and how he turned out. Both of them with a shitty past, abusive family and a terrible mentor they’re loyal to and both gone down a dark path.

4x20 'Farewell, Cruel World!'

+ I loved everything with Daisy/Trip. I've missed their friendship so much. The way Daisy immediately ran over to hug him when she first saw him again. I loved how she couldn't stop smiling at him in that scene. Also despite his confusion he hugged her back and of course got in some flirting. I loved their talk about the 'real' world. I loved their goodbye and their last hug. I'm not ready to let go!

+ "Damn. And this is really a place you want to go back to?" LOL. Man, I love Trip. I want him back. He adds a lightness and fun that this show needs more of. I love that he stayed with Hope at the end.

+ How the hell did Ophelia teleport them away? I mean obviously this is due to the Darkhold but how? Does this mean anyone coming through the machine would get powers?

+ Poor Fitz. His freak-out when he got out of the Framework especially his realisation that he killed Mace was so sad. I have a bad feeling about his kidnapping by Ophelia. I could see him letting Ophelia get to him and going bad in order to escape the horror he feels, or sacrificing himself to stop Ophelia out of guilt and despair for what he did. I'm worried.

All that said I'm also a little sad to see Doctor Fitz go because he was a great villain. His reaction to his father's death and the scene with Jemma were excellent. Also I loved that shot of him walking down the halls of the Triskelion as everyone rushes out of his way/backs away in fear.

+ That Daisy/Hope/Mack scene was freaking adorable.

+ I loved Daisy's tearful and emotional "You have people who love you very much." plea to Mack and it was the moment that got to me most.

+ As soon as Daisy started expanding on Hope not being in danger I went 'nooo'. Why would you even do that? Mack has no memory of his real life and you think he's going to abandon the daughter he loves? His decision to stay was inevitable at that point. She had to know that. I mean she had no problems subtly lying to get him on the mission.

+ I love that Radcliffe was lying about wanting immortality in order to get Fitz in a position where he could save him. I liked him telling Fitz not to blame himself and accepting the blame for his actions.

+ Still sad that we didn't get more Jemma/Trip but I did like their goodbye and Jemma taking Trip's hands before leaving.

+ I liked Ophelia's reaction to being human.

+ Something I found interesting is that the Framework gets called, twice including by Daisy, an "alternate reality" as opposed to a virtual reality which are two separate things. It's making me wonder if it's meant to be a clue about the Framework rather than just using the two words inter-changeably. The Darkhold created the Framework so who's to say that it couldn't be a different reality not just a virtual one?

+ Oh Mack. His expression after he told Hope that he had everything he needed showed how very uncertain he really was.

+ I hope the show explores a bit the fact that several of the team now have two sets of memories.

+ We've had no hint yet about the human-making machine being used again but there is no way they introduce that as well as reintroducing several dead characters people care about and it doesn't get used at least once. The machine is in the Triskelion but the Resistance is gaining support, a full-on revolution is starting, all the leaders of Hydra are gone and both Ward and Trip would have reason to go there. Plus there is no way the team is just going to accept Mack's decision without trying to convince him again and thus possibly one of them going back in with the knowledge of the machine. The show has to bring one of them back right? Plus they didn't really do a lot with Trip which is a bit of a waste if we're not going to see more of him. Please, please, let Trip come back, pleeeeeease!
