I Hope You Dance

I loved it!

+ I like how they dealt with Waverly's betrayal and Wynonna/Waverly. It's brought up a couple times and Wynonna gets to show some of her hurt and anger but at the same time things are really bad and they don't have time to fight about it and when the chips are down their love for each other is the most important thing. As always I loved them and their relationship. Wynonna reaffirming that Waverly, regardless of her birth, is her sister was such a powerful wonderful moment.

+ I loved Wynonna addressing Peacemaker itself and that it answered her. Interesting that it was blue just as it was when Wynonna used it to shoot Willa. I lol'd at Waverly's "Make up your mind" to Peacemaker after it burnt her. I'm hoping that this is leading to Peacemaker actually having a consciousness/sentience itself and that the show explores it.

+ I like how the show decided to deal the baby and how it all played out.

- Wynonna deciding to give her child up so she could live safely outside the Triangle makes complete sense. I loved and felt for Wynonna so much when she broke down with the realisation that she wanted to keep her daughter and her goodbye was heartbreaking.

- I adore the fact that she turned to Nicole to set up the escape and trusted her to get Alice to safety. That + Nicole trusting Wynonna two eps ago to make sure she wasn't kept in a vegetative state shows the amazing growth in their relationship and I love that they trust and turn to each other for the hardest most difficult things. Their friendship is one of my favourite parts of the show.

- I love the reveal that Gus is going to be the one to raise and watch over Alice. I've wondered where the hell she's been and this was perfect because it not only explained that but made it more believable for me that Wynonna would trust someone else with her child.

- I even really loved the return of Perry and him coming back to use his money to provide transport, security and a wet nurse for Alice to pay Wynonna back for saving him. I hope he shows up again.

+ Doc/Wynonna had a couple really nice moments. I loved the street showdown and them pretty immediately being on the same wavelength. I adored Doc rushing back to kiss Wynonna's forehead goodbye. Their final scene was sad and lovely and I loved the kiss. I loved Wynonna naming their daughter after both their mothers and Doc's reaction to it.

+ Jeremy was great. Definitely intrigued by him not being 100% human and/or having abilities himself. I like that he finally got to effectively shoot a gun and semi-save the day. I was amused by him taking Wynonna essentially welcoming him to the family to immediately inquire about naming the baby because of course he did.

+ "You're part of the family and being part of the family means... dealing with terrifying forces of evil!" That Nicole/Jeremy scene was lovely and Jeremy officially becoming a part of the Earp extended family makes me really happy. I love in labour Wynonna taking a minute to tell Jeremy that she was glad he stayed and putting her seal of approval to his permanent addition to her family.

+ I'm still enjoying Jeremy's unending crush on Doc which was in full swing this ep. From "He's not. I'd feel it in my groin." (LOL, everyone's reactions were priceless) to his adorable grin and finger point when Doc mentioned researching babies on wikipedia to the "You are with me." / "Always." exchange with Doc it was fun.

+ Oh, Rosita. I'm so sad about the turn her story has taken because I wanted so much for her to be a part of the family they've been building this season. I'm disappointed because they started their interaction so well with Rosita coming in and telling Wynonna that "I've got you" and Wynonna responding by sincerely apologising. But I'm not actually mad at Rosita. She was terrified, she was angry at the way Wynonna treated her and she didn't feel like a part of them. I can understand her making this terrible choice even if I wish she hadn't. I still believe everything she said to the sisters and I'm hoping that there is some hope for her.

+ Bobo's descent into madness and decision to not only ally himself with Bulshar but to offer him Waverly as a wife was a little disappointing. I hope they do something interesting with him next season. I did appreciate Doc's revenge of locking Bobo in the well and Bobo's amusement at the White Widow's defection was fun.

+ The White Widow's makeover looked great and I loved her choice to betray her husband and try to forge a different path for herself but I really wish it had been set up better. It came a little too out of left field.

+ Dolls vs the Brotherhood cult felt a little pointless. And then Dolls fried all of them so... what was the point of them again? I did like the Dolls/Doc scene.
