I'm very happy with how this finale played out.
Kentaro winning was a bit of a surprise but he was absolutely the one I wanted to win. His collection was my favourite and despite all the talk about the lack of cohesion in it I found it the most cohesive while also being the most interesting.
Ayana - Overall meh tbh. She had one outfit I loved [the off-white pant/top/jacket was great) and two I liked [the following two looks, minus the top with the short skit/pant combo]. The final dress was nice. I wasn't a big fan of her fabric choices especially the prints which to me looked very old fashioned and curtain-like. The colour scheme was mostly very bleh.
Margarita - I liked it. Again not really my style but there was nothing in it I really disliked. The first two giant fish print dresses were fun and I liked them. I also liked the blue top/bell bottom look. The black dress was nice too. If I had to choose between her and Ayana/Brandon I would (surprisingly to me) choose Margarita's. Hers was second place for me.
Also after the Claire debacle and Margarita's attitude during the whole thing I really went off her as a person but I loved that moment this episode where she helped Kentaro figure out his line-up.
Brandon - Okay, but for the front runner of the season disappointing. I absolutely agree with the judges about his collection being too samey. I surprisingly didn't dislike the flamingo fabric and I thought he made it work really well. He just used far too much of it! Looking at the collection as a whole your eye ends up simply skimming over it.
Kentaro - I thought it was wonderful and the best of the four by far. I wouldn't necessarily wear most of them but I really liked it as a collection. I loved the cream skirt/top, both red dresses and the white dress. I thought all of them were very pretty. The opening look was really eye-catching and interesting.
