Agents of Shield 5x03 - 5x05 Thoughts

iaria5x03 ‘A Life Spent’
+ I loved both Mack and Yo-Yo being clever. Mack acting an angry protectiveness to cover recon was a great reveal. Yo-Yo making her wrist tracker look faulty so she could steal the control wand for Daisy and then saving everyone at the end was the best. .
+ Poor Mack. The look on his face when Yo-Yo set the foreman up to save them all was so disappointed and sad.
+ I loved the awe on Deke’s face after Daisy used her powers on him. He so has a crush on her now. Also probably a boner.
+ Yeah, there is no way Deke was actually betraying Daisy and hopefully when she wakes up she’ll realise that his “I’m playing the long game” was him trying to tell her that. I’m also guessing that Deke, for all his protestations, was working with Virgil and does know why the team is there.
+ I liked that little moment between May and Coulson on the ship.
+ I loved that Daisy was in full ‘bull in a china shop’ mode to save Jemma. The fight was great.
+ I liked Jemma’s scene with Abby. She was so good with her.
+ I hope that Deke's theory of parallel universes is true because that opens up so many possibilities. Like Trip coming back! Also they need some way to have our Ward appearance for the season.
5x04 ‘A Life Earned’
+ Mack’s tearful confession that losing Framework Hope is harder than losing real Hope was an emotion destroying scene but a really excellent one. I loved it and I’m so glad the show is exploring the repercussions of the Framework. For me it makes sense that Mack feels this way – Hope died a long time ago and he’s had time to process that whereas with F!Hope he hasn’t, he was told that Hope died whereas F!Hope died in his arms, and he had F!Hope is his life longer. Regardless of how real F!Hope may have been she was real to Mack, as Yo-Yo tells him. So it was completely understandable.
+ I’m enjoying Kasius/Sinara. I like how they know each other and the loyalty between them. I’m also curious if the fact that their face colouring are opposites (him whiter blue with blue eyes, her darker blue with white eyes) means anything.
+ The May/Sinara fight was excellent and I love May but her avoiding the balls so easily seems unlikely and her staying behind was a really dumb idea. I’m not worried about what happened to her just concerned what Kasius is planning to do with her.
5x05 'Rewind'
+ Lance has never been a favourite but it was really great to see him again. His rescue of Fitz was fun and I enjoyed his reactions to all the craziness both happening around him and for the stuff he missed in SHIELD. I also really like how they explained away Bobbi's absence and Lance's little explanation of their relationship.
+ I loved all the Lance/Fitz interactions. Fitz. Lance telling Fitz in all sincerity, and making sure the last words Fitz heard, were "I love you" was the best. I loved that their first scene was them immediately getting into an argument about football.
+ I loved the glimpses of dark Fitz and the new competence and steeliness he's taken from his experience in the Framework.
+ I loved Fitz's incredulous 'wtf' expression when Enoch was explaining who he was. It's made me laugh every time I've watched.
+ Enoch is great. I liked everything about him.
+ I always like when the show brings back old characters. Robin as the seer was great.
+ "Release the ferrets." Ha!
+ It was nice to see sunlight and openness and brightness on the show again.
