It was a fun episode.
+ I liked getting to see how Dutch and Johnny's friendship and partnership began. They remain as delightful as ever. What I found interesting was how sexual they felt - with the comparison made between their partnership and marriage, the sexy dance, Khlyen the disapproving dad act, the general UST between them - and how shippy they came off as.
+ I loved Johnny saving Dutch from her inner darkness, even while dying.
+ I love the origin of Dutch's name. Johnny being the one to give her the idea by affectionately teasingly calling her Duchess and her little smile as she she repeated it was great.
+ "He is your true north. Your only way home." - Khlyen. Aww. The idea that the fate of the universe will come down to the deep bond between Dutch and Johnny makes me happy.
+ I loved that both sides of the couple were clicking their bracelet for Dutch. I don't blame them at all. She was smoking hot in that white dress, wow.
+ I loved that when the mark started freaking out Dutch immediately raised both her hands, mirroring his. It's a small detail but great.
+ I liked this quote a lot:
"No, you just need to feel needed." - Dutch
"Obviously. Still rude to say it." - Johnny
+ I was hoping for more Dutch/Aneela/Khlyen working together and kicking ass to defeat the Lady but maybe that will be coming in future episodes.
It was a fun episode.
