Covert Affairs 1x10
A pretty good finale though the cliff-hanger ending didn’t work for me since I don’t really care about Ben.
• I was very glad that Annie didn’t end up mad at Jai over not telling her that he knew Ben and that it didn’t become a ‘thing’ between them like I was expecting.
• I thought it seemed pretty obvious that Ben was getting the scientist away safely. But even if he wasn’t they should have let him go anyway. They know that the bad guy wants the scientist alive and they know that they have a tracker on Ben that he doesn’t know about. It doesn’t seem rocket science for them to hold off until they were away from the numerous known bad guys with guns before confronting Ben. People acting stupid is so annoying and this day of TV has been full of it.
• I was kind of hoping that Joan would go for Arthur’s job and be ambitious, and yet also glad that she wanted to work as a team to protect themselves as a unit.
• Auggie/Annie remain adorable.
• I really want Danielle to turn out to be a spy or get into the spy world next season because I love Anna and this is such a waste of her.
Rizzoli & Isles 1x10
It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. Certainly not as good as the previous two episodes.
• My biggest issue with the episode was a moment of utter idiocy on Jane’s part. Jane gets out of the interview room with the witness, climbs a flight of stairs, and then even having just seen two bad guys go down those same stairs she leaves the witness there for ‘her own protection’. That is possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever seen a cop type person do on any show with cops/agents and I have seen a lot of them! I mean, my god, she is in no way hidden, she has no protection. Stick her in a closet somewhere random (the Chief’s office for example) and tell her to be quiet. But you don’t just leave her like that. I mean it wasn’t even as if she had taken her all the way to the top and was leaving her at the door to the roof which at least would have given her a chance to escape onto the roof if in danger and would lower the chance of people passing her on their way to somewhere else in the building. I can’t understand her reasoning there and I just can’t get over the idiocy of what she did. She got that poor girl killed.
• I also wonder why Bobby took the police office hostage instead of the medical examiner who would seem to be the more obvious choice.
• While I know the homicide boss said he wanted all officers on the cop’s murder I don’t buy the police station being that empty. There are many cops who work in different divisions, cops who have cases they can’t leave, various civilian help, and there should have been more people in the morgue. The lack of people, in the middle of a week day at that, is just too unbelievable.
• I did love Maura turning on the radio so Korsak heard Bobby confessing to everything.
