Killing Eve 1x04 & 1x05 Thoughts

iaria1x04 'Sorry Baby'
+ Villanelle is delightfully psychopathic. "Whoops", yeesh!
+ I knew Villanelle was going to kill Diego from his very first scene but how Nadia's death played out surprised me.
+ I love that Villanelle sent back Eve's suitcase full of gifts - beautiful new clothes and the perfume that bears her name.
+ Eve's lack of worry, at least for Nico, over a crazy assassin who has taken an interest in her and already killed one person she cares for knowing where she lives is deeply weird!
+ The relationship between Eve and Nico is so weird. At first I thought she was bored and had fallen out of love with him but stayed with him out of guilt and because she did still love him even if she wasn't in love with him but then in this episode she was so needlessly mean to him. She didn't want him touching her, or showing concern and she was harsh in showing it. It's changed how I view them. Now I'm leaning to, from her pov, them having a happy marriage until he breaks her trust, possibly by having an affair. He loves her and wants them to work and goes above board trying to win her back. She agrees to try but it broke her love for him and now she runs hot and cold.
1x05 'I Have a Thing About Bathrooms'
+ Eve/Villanelle were excellent. I loved all their interactions - the dinner scene was amazing. The tension in that scene was so great. I loved Villanelle helping Eve get undressed, that Eve not only didn't buy Villanelle's act but called bullshit on it, Villanelle's expression when Eve called her Oksana, and the whole knife sequence.
+ I'm really enjoying how messed up Eve is over Villanelle. How despite everything she is still so drawn to Villanelle and yet also so scared of her. She totally has a fear/anger boner for Villanelle.
+ The disparity in Eve's two reactions to Villanelle this episode were striking. When they come face to face in her house Eve's first reaction is panic'd freak out which is a far cry from her getting out of the car and approaching Villanelle at the beginning.
+ I loved the sequence where Eve tries on the dress and perfume that Villanelle got her.
+ Villanelle's eye roll when Eve ran after she asked her not to was great.
+ The Villanelle/Frank scene was surprisingly amusing. "I don't want your kids", lol and his confused expression.
+ And Eve is back to being friendly with Nico. I hope her hot and cold act with him is actually going somewhere.
+ Does Eve not have Carolyn's number? I feel like there had to have been a quicker way to warn the safe house. I'm glad Max at least survived. He seemed nice.
