I enjoyed it.
+ I particularly enjoyed all the little hints throughout showcasing Sicarius's feelings for Amaranthe. Though it did make the confession of feelings between them a little disappointing because I was enjoying the pining, as well as the uncertainty on her part about his feelings. I wish it had been left unspoken for longer. I also wish Amaranthe's feelings hadn't advanced so quickly.
+ I liked Yara, and Amaranthe confronted with her former career.
+ I'm worried about her keeping the truth from Basilard. That was the wrong choice and I think its going to backfire. It will hurt him more that she lied.
+ I actually liked that Sicarius did a truly horrible thing. He was raised from childhood to be an assassin for a horrible person. It would feel like a cop-out if he hadn't.
+ The biggest issue I have with this series is the lack of re-occurring female characters. I like the cast as is well enough but seriously why isn't there another woman on the team? It bothers me.
Deadly Games
+ The whole Basilard/Sicarius situation played out a lot better than I was expecting so that was nice.
+ I liked Deret and his attempts to capture Amaranthe and how he eventually became an ally.
+ Sicarius's jealousy was fun.
+ I really like how each book, post the first, shares the POV between Amaranthe and one of her team. Books in the last, Basilard in this. With Basilard in particular it was great because without the ability to talk he sometimes felt rather opaque as a character. I also like how she sets things up for the next POV character - I'm sure the next has to be Akstyr's turn.
Conspiracy
+ I like Amaranthe a lot. I like her cleaning tic and how she used it to cut a better deal for supplies. I like how forgiving and compassionate she is. I like her crazy plans and quick-thinking, her sense of humour.
I also like her flaws - her impetuousness
+ I like Yara.
