The Ghost Monument

+ Hmm. Not sold on the TARDIS's new look. I love the entryway that looks like what the inside of a phone box would look. I like the part when she first walks past the entryway which did feel large and impressive. The metal background panels are interesting. I like the beams of light coming from the walls, as if there are windows. The idea of the large pillars leaning into the central column is good but the execution doesn't work as well for me. I find the whole thing feels very enclosed and dark. I think if those columns were white instead of orange, in fact if all the orange was replaced with white, the whole thing would feel a lot bigger, more open and lighter. It also feels smaller with no obvious different levels.

+ I loved everything about the Doctor/TARDIS reunion. I've missed you", aww. The Doctor telling her that she needed her, her smiles at her, her apologizing for losing her key and the TARDIS immediately opening the door, and the Doctor complimenting her new look. It was great.

+ Still enjoying Thirteen a lot.

"How are you going to do that?"
"Not sure. Treating it as a chance to surprise myself."

+ I love the Doctor introducing her Companions as "my new best friends".

+ "Welcome to your first alien planet. Don't touch anything." - Thirteen. LOL. Then later she tells Ryan very firmly 'no' to touching the TARDIS controls which, added to the gun scene and the light in the forest in the first episode, makes me think this is going to be an ongoing thing with him, and I love it. Press all the buttons and touch all the things, Ryan!

+ I really liked the Graham/Ryan boat exchange and how Graham is trying to reach out to Ryan.

+ So "timeless child", hmm. Is that the Doctor or someone else, is my first question.
