Me and the Devil

“I had a bad dream.” – Eric. Heh. It was nice to see Godric again.

• I liked the Sookie/Eric scenes. I liked that she let him lay in her bed and comforted him. The kiss was great.

• I wasn’t expecting Arlene to be protective of Mikey instead of blaming him. I was totally expecting her to call him a ‘devil baby’ and to continue to think he was evil. It was a nice surprise. I prefer her being protective of him so much more.

• It looks like my theory that it’s all Arlene is wrong. So is Mikey evil or is Rene’s ghost really hanging around?

• So Jessica and Hoyt just took Jason home? And then were going to leave him? Jessica’s blood may have saved his life and healed his injuries but did neither of those knuckleheads think about who hurt him? He could have still be in danger!

“Actually I terrify you. And from now on when you look at me you will have the uncontrollable urge to scream and runaway.” God, Bill is an ass. Making her uninterested in him sexually is one thing but then the rest of this is just – ugh. Just say ‘not interested’ and then kick her out. He’s a king. He has guards. He can do that.

“I would never hurt anyone as beautiful as you.” – Eric. So he’d have no problem killing anyone not as beautiful as he finds her? Okay, that’s completely true but I wouldn’t expect him to say it out loud as if there was nothing wrong with that sentiment.

“Oh good the world needs more bee keepers” – Bill. LOL

• I liked that Jason called Hoyt on bringing up his issues with Jessica. Sharing your problems is a part of friendship. Sharing your problems when your friend just confessed to being held prisoner and gang-raped is not the right time. Yeesh.

“Sweetheart this woman poses great danger. Get away from her.” Hmm. What danger would Marnie, or more likely Antonia, pose to Sookie? Are witches a danger to fairies as well?

• I once again felt sorry for Marnie. She just seems so well-meaning and a bit... absent and so completely in over her head.

• I really loved Tara and Sookie talking. I loved how Sookie handled Tara having a girlfriend, and that she encouraged her to fight to save her relationship. All of that was great. So of course it would all go wrong. Seriously is it too much to ask to have Sookie be a good friend for one episode?

Sookie had so many chances to bring up the truth about Eric. When she told Tara that “you have to be honest with the people you love” and then didn’t follow it up with the truth about Eric I wanted shake her. After Eric made his appearance if she’d gotten between him and Tara instead of standing there helplessly or if she’d said straight out that ‘he can’t remember anything and is helpless’ or if she’d ordered Eric to leave or took Tara outside or did anything she might have still managed to salvage the situation. But of course she didn’t.

- Tara’s “You’re a fucking hypocrite!” was very deserved. This is going to be a lot for their friendship get over. It had better be Sookie trying to make amends.

- I was also irritated when Sookie didn’t go after Tara and that she didn’t seem upset afterward. Yes, she was distracted by an upset Eric but still.

• Jason’s dream was hilarious.

• Oh shit Pam. Sigh. On one hand, people make mistakes. The fact the she is literally falling apart and is very stressed out makes it more understandable. But on the other hand, there is no way that Pam would ever make a mistake like that. Not with Eric's life on the line.
