+ Shori is a strange character for me because I simultaneously dislike him and like him. Like, his inability to accept that Yuuri doesn’t need his protection and his using Conrad and Wolfram and just something about his rubs me the wrong way. And yet his devotion to Yuuri is sweet. His “I’ll keep shining a light on the path you walk.” made me go ‘awww’ as do pretty much any scenes of young Shori/Yuuri together. I was intensely irritated with the fact that Shori apparently has better control over Yuuri’s power then Yuuri but still found him giving Yuuri the moon adorable.
+ When Yuuri said that he wanted the moon my mind went immediately to the fact that Murata is the moon to his sun.
+ “Seeing that sublime will of yours is so deeply inspiring.” – Günter. Huh. I never actually thought of that before – that Yuuri has been keeping up his schooling on Earth while also learning to be Maou and all that entails. Okay, I’m impressed!
+ I’m really surprised that Greta hasn’t gone to Earth yet. Hasn’t Shori (or Yuuri) told Jennifer about her yet? If he had I would think that Jennifer wouldn’t take no for an answer in meeting her first grandchild. It seems weird that they haven’t met yet. I have a feeling that Yuuri is in so much trouble when she learns he’s been keeping a grandchild from her. I love so much that Jennifer knew from the beginning but kept it to herself.
+ I didn’t realise that Conrad had figured it out, but this is Conrad so of course he did, so him happily sitting there massaging ‘Yuuri’s’ shoulders made me smile. The fact that he did know that it wasn’t Yuuri has me confused – why the smile?
3x15/Episode 93
+ There were two scenes I really loved –
First: after the old man states he wants Greta to return with him we get a scene of the cast discussing what to do. Wolfram is very vehemently against it (and loud), while the others have varying degrees in opinion and, all the while everyone discusses it, Yuuri sits at the window looking out. It was a lovely moment especially for Yuuri. I just wanted to hug him.
Second: Yuuri/Greta/Wolfram bedroom scene. Like any other night for them but not. Yuuri reading to Greta, Wolfram lying down turned away, thought to be sleeping but then he reaches out to grasp Greta’s hand. ♥ ...and then I wanted to hug Wolfram. It was a beautiful scene.
+ I love the idea of Yuuri unconsciously using his magic to help Greta remember her mother’s face. The scene where Izuza’s face is revealed, Greta begins singing her mother’s song and the Izuza starts singing and they end up doing a duet was beautiful and one of the most moving moments on the show.
+ I’m wondering at the appearance of her grandfather (the old man) since it was established that Greta grew up isolated in a relative’s (aunt/uncle?) castle, where she was lonely and only prisoner Hube was her friend, so where exactly was ‘grandfather’ in all of this? Also way back in season one I thought it was pretty much a sure thing that Nina (?) was Greta’s mother. I mean considering her reactions to Greta, her knowing about the tattoo... I was sure that she was Izuza in disguise and that she decided to leave Greta with Yuuri because she was happy, loved and safe with him. I suppose this episode doesn’t ruin that possibility.
+ I loved how Yuuri reacted to the entire situation, he was so mature, and this line especially “No matter how far apart they are family are bound with a single thread.”
+ Wolfram looks so much better cross-dressed in this episode. The long hair is gorgeous (and for a moment I did think it was Cheri). I preferred Yuuri’s former wig though. This more severe style just wasn’t very flattering, although from the back/side it wasn’t bad as the first look. More cross dressing please!
3x16/Episode 94
A cute little stand alone episode (we’ve been getting a lot of stand alones – hmm).
+ We got mini-Shinou which was amusing – playing with the kids (he so was and the shot of him drinking tea as they tried to catch him was hilarious), and posing on Murata’s shoulder (hee). And get Doll!Günter which always makes an episode better.
+ I loved that Wolfram caught Greta from her fall.
+ I love that Shinou had the robot created in the imagine of Daikenjya to tease him. The fact that Shinou now has weaker powers away from his Temple is interesting. Does he have multiple Temples? If he does is he equally powerful in all of them or just his main one?
+ Mutata teasing Yuuri and Wolfram was great. “That could be interesting in the future.” and Yuuri and Wolfram’s reactions of ‘waaa?!’ and Wolfram stating that ‘a hundred years would be too soon for her marriage’ were amusing.
