iariaRizzoli & Isles 2x03 ‘Sailor Man’
• That last scene was awesome. I loved the little sway they do together after they confirm that they’re ‘batting for the other team’. I loved how comfortable they are with each other.
- I loved Jane using Maura as a shield against Giovanni until Maura starts flirting and then she immediately steps between them.
- Jane’s ‘oh babe’ when Maura offered to pay for Angela’s car was – wow. The way she says that and the look on her face – that was totally not friendship.
- Maura’s “Oh, that’s nice” to Giovanni saying that he’d always wanted to try it with two girls amused me. She was just so sincere.
• “You don’t want to sleep with me. (pause) Do you?” / “No. No.” Uh huh, sure. That look on Maura's face during the pause was not agreement with Jane.
• I really liked that Maura's desire for sex, to have a one night stand with a guy she found hot, and her frank talk about it was accepted and there was never once even the implication that there was anything wrong with it.
• Uh what happened to Jane hating pink? That’s what she said in the previous episode and now she’s wearing a pink shirt.
Covert Affairs 2x08 ‘Welcome to the Occupation’
• After getting off the plane Ben (carrying two bags) rushes ahead of Joan saying “let me get the door” and then opens the back door for her. Joan doesn’t slow down (and in fact acts as if she can’t even see or hear him) and opens the driver’s door and climbs in. Cut to inside where Annie has just settled into the front passenger seat and tells Joan that Ben “grows on you”. It was a really small moment but I loved it.
• It was great to see Joan in the field.
• “No, the main thing is you came for me Joan.” – Megan. We didn’t get a lot of Meg but I loved this moment. This show needs more female friendships.
• I loved Joan and Annie sharing a glass of wine together at the end. Yay for more advancement in their relationship.
• “There are two kinds of operatives: one that’s needed in the field and one that needs the field. You need to decide which kind you’re going to be.” – Joan. Hmm.
• I actually liked Ben perhaps because Annie is starting to get over him.
• Why the heck would George go for the gun? Delgado would probably have ratted him out but he could have at least tried to play innocent.
• What are they doing with Jai? Why can’t he just be Annie’s field partner – missions, friendship, maybe some flirting – is that too much to ask? Hopefully Jai will get the same leniency as Auggie for getting in bed with Liza or he’ll turn around and start spying for Arthur/Joan.
• Arthur actually writing down what he wanted to say to Joan was kind of adorable. They were good this episode. I also really liked how Joan shut him down when he tried to protest her going on the mission.
• I had wondered when Scott stayed to play games with the kids if he and Danielle would discover an attraction.
