3x26/Episode 104

+ In one of Murata’s previous lives he was a green-haired priestess in Shinou’s temple! I love this so very much! [She also had blue eyes and glasses.] We know that in at least some of his lives he was very much aware of his original life as Daikenjya which makes it all the more interesting. Clearly she became the high priestess. I really want to know her name, and her tale, and watch her interactions with Shinou.

+ The amount of devotion that Janus – both the original and the copy – have towards Shinou is both amazing and kind of obsessive. Creepy and beautiful. I’d wonder if it was just the Janus personality or if it was an accurate reflection of Daikenjya’s feelings and devotion towards Shinou but I think we have clear evidence that it started all the way back with Daikenjya.

But it does make me wonder about Murata and his relationship with Shinou. He seems to have a bit more distance between them and is that because he was born on Earth? Janus says about Shinou “He would often act in ways that would put me off my guard.” which is just an interesting little insight into the Daikenjya/Shinou relationship since I never really saw this from what we saw of them.

I enjoyed Shinou and Murata’s interactions. I liked Shinou being worried about Murata. I loved this line – “It’s kind of creepy whenever you’re this submissive.” – which just works for me. I don’t know.

+ I always like when Yuuri thinks about Julia and considers what it means that they share the same soul and deals with it. I really want an episode where Yuuri remembers bits and pieces of being Julia.

+ “You are you. That does not change, no matter who possessed your soul in the past. ... And now we are living in the present time with you, Yuuri. No one else but you. That gives all of us great joy.” – Conrad. Awwww. ♥

3x27/Episode 105

+ I loved Yuuri referencing Greta as ‘our daughter’ to Wolfram. That just made me go aww.

+ I found it interesting to hear Shori describe himself as a mazoku considering both he and Yuuri were brought up to be human. I wonder what Yuuri considers himself to be?

+ Alazon tells Shori “You are one born between human and Mazoku; one who can choose his path.” and this got me thinking. She seems to imply here that if you’re born to a human and a Mazoku parent that you can choose which side to take after but that doesn’t make much sense. A lot of fuss was made over El’s power and how a half-breed (so to speak) could have any – which in itself is beyond stupid considering that Yuuri is as well – and yet we know from Conrad having no abilities that it is rather true. So why exactly are Yuuri and Shori and El different from other half-breeds? Is it something to do with Earth?

3x28/Episode 106

+ The power of the sword was pretty cool. I liked it. I liked even more that it wasn’t Shori’s using it so much as the sword using Shori as a battery, draining him dry, and that it was Yuuri who mastered it and used his power on it to fix everything. That made me happy.

+ Lanzhil is really stupid – how the hell does he get Shin Mazoku being behind the White Crows when the White Crows were the ones who put him in power in the first place!

+ I was ridiculously happy to see Sara at the end of the episode. Knowing that this is the final season I was probably more annoyed then I’d otherwise be to have a bunch of episodes focusing on Shori, who I don’t really care about, instead of Saralegui who I really want to know more about or even any of the other characters who I enjoy.
