White Collar 3x07 - 3x09 Thoughts

• I don’t understand the need for Neal to invite Sara to move in with him. Does she pay by the day? Considering how long she’d be living at the hotel that makes no sense.
• I can’t believe Neal didn't tell Peter what he was doing or think that Peter would have a problem with it. As Sara pointed out they would be breaking a lot of laws. Plus they'd be spending the stolen money doing it. It also surprised me that Sara didn’t bring Peter up either. I think a part of Sara loves the con and possibly even likes the idea of being on the other side of the law because she jumps into Neal’s schemes with a lot of glee and very little hesitation.
• I love that a pissed off Peter dragged Neal out of his apartment and – took him home. Where he gave him wine and did some ranting but not as much as you would think. It looked like they were putting stuff away – so ranting, wine and dinner with the wife? Hee.
• I loved El’s grin at Neal. A tiny moment but I loved it.
• “We chat.” – El re: Mozzie. I love that El and Mozzie are friends but they have been for awhile now and I'm surprised that Peter didn't know.
• Sarah Connor! Unexpected but great to see her.
• “Freedom, excitement, comfort and the right people to share it with.” – Neal, explaining what 'everything' entails for him. The problem I have here is that Neal appears to be planning on telling Sara the truth as a lead up to... asking her to run away with him? Really? So he would have 'everything' if Sara came along? I don't think so. Because the 'right people' aren't just include Mozzie and apparently Sara but there's also Peter and El and maybe Diana and Jones and June. Except for the freedom Neal has all of that right where he is and I wonder if it's going to take losing the anklet for him to realise or acknowledge that?
• I was shocked that Neal was really going to tell Sara. I like Neal/Sara but it is way too soon. I think it's pretty clear Neal does not want to leave and yet doesn't feel like he can just say so or perhaps doesn't realise consciously just how much he wants to stay. So he becomes sloppy like leaving the painting safe open and his laptop out in the open. He does things he normally wouldn't like consider telling people his secrets. He's subconsciously trying to sabotage Mozzie's plan. I wonder how long before he has to actively choose?
• “We didn’t earn it, Neal.... I don’t cross any line I can’t come back from.” – Sara. Hmm. So Sara likes to play, is willing to break rules and walk along the edge but still has lines.
• “I saved Byron’s hide on many an occasion. I knew more than he thought I did.” I liked the Sara/June talk. This part specifically caught my attention because it makes me wonder if it’s foreshadowing for how Sara will react.
3x08 'As You Were'
• I loved that final scene. I loved Satchmo meeting Neal at the door and being so happy to see him, I loved the Peter/Neal phone call and I was really happy that Neal lied to Mozzie.
• I liked the Neal/Clinton scenes. It was also nice to see more of who Jones is.
• Mozzie using El so easily makes me sad.
• So is really the end of Neal and Sara? No discussion about what she found at all? Does Sara really love him enough to ignore it (but not to stay with him)? Huh.
• Two lines that I loved and that made me laugh:
"He likes to poke me with sticks." - Neal
"I do." - Peter.
and
"I didn't hear that. Nobody heard that. Pencils down. Don't write that."
3x09 'On the Fence'
• I can't believe that Mozzie ordered a hit on Keller. Wow. I don't even know what to think.
• So are Mozzie and Neal on the outs now? Will Neal actually say out loud 'I don't want to leave'?
• Both scenes with El were excellent and she really needs more screen-time. I loved that final El/Peter scene.
• All it took was learning that Neal was going to tell her the truth and was going to ask her to leave with him to make her soften. Even before that she didn't betray him - to either Keller or Peter. We never got any sort of hint that she even considered telling Peter. It appears that her line is a bit further from the side of law than I thought.
