iariaRizzoli & Isles 2x05 ‘Don’t Hate the Player’
Things I liked:
• Jane slapping Maura’s butt.
• Jane teasing Maura about what the murder weapon could be.
• Maura and Jane changing clothes including Maura sacrificing a pair of shoes for Jane. Although I think her sacrifice was unnecessary since making them peep toes wouldn’t really help if they were too small.
• “Your suit is a real booty call magnet. I got hit on twice. By women.” – Maura. The way she says that – she seemed so pleased. Yeah, I just don’t buy her as completely heterosexual.
• The show did a good job in casting the Rizzoli family because I buy Tommy, Frankie and Jane as siblings.
• Jane’s quiet “God, its torture sometimes” when Maura said it’d be guessing to say what the liver damage was from. Heh.
• The final scene was great. Jane and Maura arguing, them all sitting down for dinner, Korsak being there – it was nice. Frost's absence did stick out.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King 1x09 ‘Responsible’
Things I Liked:
• The opening scene: Alek picking roses for Chloe; Alek’s expression when Meredith said the flowers were sweet and then that she hadn’t been a fan of him at first.
• Chloe helping Jasmine pick out an outfit for her date.
• Jasmine making the photographer and chasing him down.
• “I’d hate to see you miss out on a once in a lifetime event” –Alek. Heh. That was very sibling like. I guess I was reading too much into Jasmine’s reaction in the last episode.
• The Paul/Alek scene was great.
• “You can’t fix Chloe because she’s not broken.” – Paul. Exactly.
• Brian punching Alek actually. I like that we don’t get just Alek being a jealous jackass. I also liked that he did speak against what he saw as manhandling – except he took it too far, and spoke to Alek not Chloe (who didn’t seem at all bothered).
• Chloe and Alek fighting together. They seem to be becoming a well-oiled team.
• Amy going behind Chloe’s back to inform her mom that she’s saved up her half for a car. She’s a good friend.
Other:
• The idea that there are races for every ancient god is interesting. But that is a lot of races and some of them have to be extinct. If there were actually that many races then a good chunk of the Earth’s population would have to be non-human and I don’t see how that would work especially considering them kissing humans kills the humans (unless that is race specific).
• Chloe not saying anything at Brian’s “It’s a date”. Would she please stop with the mixed messages. I get that she really likes him and is all torn but that’s the sort of thing that should be nipped in the bud.
• Why was only Vanessa screaming for help or reacting in any way? Also while Chloe got Vanessa to cover for her what about all those other girls? They heard Vanessa call Chloe’s name and heard Chloe calling for Alek.
• Alek is a bit of an ass. It’s part of who he is. Chloe’s expression after his muttered 'obviously' really said it all. From ‘you can be so sweet’ to ‘...and then there are the other times’ within five seconds and that’s pretty much where I’m at too.
• Why would there be a picture of Brian and Chloe amongst the pictures of Chloe’s protectors? It makes no sense for him to be in there if Amy and Paul weren’t.
• Frank and Meredith breaking up was a bit weird and sudden.
• I don’t get why Chloe didn’t bring up the car agreement with her mom.
