The Good Place 3x07 & 3x08 Thoughts

iaria3x07 'A Fractured Inheritance'
+ Poor Eleanor. That was heartbreaking. I like that she did the right thing, that she was genuine in that, but that her hurt over the situation wasn't just papered over.
+ It was so great to have Eleanor/Michael together. I loved her expression when he tried to be a stern dad. It was hilarious.
+ "All my fears are my own again." - Chidi. LOL.
+ I liked Tahani's realisation about her parents and her and Kamilah finally bonding over how terrible they were. The hug was great and I really loved the little exchange of affectionate touch after - Tahani's little rub under her sister's eye and Kamilah's gentle pet of Tahani's hair.
+ Michael certainly has changed! He actually apologised to Patricia about Eleanor and then tells Eleanor "She's a kid. You can't disembowel her toys." Sean would be so disgusted! Plus he genuinely liked Dave too, which was great.
3x08 'The Worst Possible Use of Free Will'
+ I've been enjoying this season but this episode made me realise how much I miss everyone being in the afterlife and the set-up of the first two seasons.
+ Eleanor/Michael was a delight. I love how well they work together. They are so alike, and he knows her so well. I find them weirdly sweet together and I love how much he cares for her.
+ I love that Michael was mostly worried about how Eleanor's opinion of him would change and is taken off guard by her going in the "you made everything happen, love's not real' route instead. He was genuinely flabbergasted and I love when she does that to him.
+ Pick a pet day! Delightful. Aww to Jason getting his 'fake' penguin. A mirror centaur was the perfect pet for (torturing) Tahani, holy cow.
+ I loved Tahani's expression when she noticed Eleanor's lizard was on her head, ha.
+ Eleanor/Chidi were adorable. Eleanor pushed him into a lake, aw. And helping him with his owl. But my favourite little moment was Eleanor giving him the Kleenex without thinking about it.
+ I love how pleased Michael was by #444. As with Eleanor, it's nice when we get to see the 'bad' side of them still shine through occasionally.
+ I loved the implication of Eleanor/Michael from the waitress.
