Prosecutor Princess Episode 6 Thoughts
Aug. 23rd, 2011 01:16 pmThings I liked:
• Hye Ri’s hair and clothing is looking much better.
• Ji Min calling Hye Ri and her coupon present. It was adorable and I’m glad that Hye Ri’s going to be keeping in touch with her. I hope we get more scenes between them. I feel like the three coupons have to come into play at some point. Perhaps Hye Ri will use Ji Min to bond with Bin Yun?
• “That’s pretty amazing. Keeping your decision and enduring it and pushing yourself.” – Se Joon. I really liked the Se Joon/Hye Ri scene and he was completely right. I really couldn’t understand why Hye Ri cared but her flashback explained it a lot. Poor Hye Ri. Hopefully all that’s happened will allow her to finally let go of the shame and insecurity she’s lived with.
• Hye Ri and In Woo eating lunch together. Him trying to get her to eat his lunch instead of Se Joon's and then telling her that he'll just be her friend. They were very cute.
• Hye Ri working late – because otherwise the cases won’t get done. How far she’s come!
• Jung Sun reading Hana Yori Dango.
• Hye Ri trading her assistant Cha for a ‘superman’ coupon with Se Yoon. Complete with makeup thumb-print. It was adorable.
• In Woo purposefully damaging his vehicle to help her gain independence. I also loved the fact that she just couldn’t make herself do it.
• “You didn’t get hurt anywhere, right?” The first concern for her well-being we’ve seen from her dad. That’s been a long time coming.
• In Woo is her neighbour?! LOL. I do not believe his expression of shock at all. He totally moved in to be near her. He’s just the most dedicated stalker, isn’t he? I am so amused.
Other:
• I was a bit surprised that Hye Ri wasn’t more forthright in her pursuit of Se Joon in this episode. I mean this is the woman who has twice told him ‘I like you’. Since it didn’t work either of those times has she decided that subtlety would work better?
• “Being wronged can suffocate a healthy person.” – In Woo. Wow, that felt pointed. Did she really wrong him?! It can’t be her. Not with the way he behaves with her, and the way he cares for her and that childhood flashback. So – her dad?
• “There was one thing that happened to Ma Hye Ri that I didn’t tell you about.” – Jeni. I loved his reaction. He was so worried! I think he acted far more anxious than she was expecting. I wonder if she purposefully kept it from him so she could do this little test to see just how much he cared for Hye Ri?
• Her assistants snickering after the reveal really pissed me off. And here I thought they were coming around to liking her. Her other prosecutors at least meant well even if they behaved in pretty clueless way.
• “I haven’t become your friend yet.” – In Woo. Is part of his plan becoming her friend? Or, since he was originally clear about liking her, making her fall for him? That’s actually kind of ominous. I don’t want making her care for him to be part of his mysterious plan – or rather not if the plan is not my ‘hidden fiancé’ theory.
• “When you let go of the past that’s when your future begins.” – Se Joon. I feel like this is advice that is applicable to all of the main characters.
• “Being one step late really sucks.” – In Woo. Aw. Poor In Woo. He keeps getting cock-blocked (sort of... hero-blocked?) by Se Joon. Of course judging by previous events this means that in the next episode In Woo will do something to block Se Joon. See: Se Joon rescues her from thugs/In Woo rescues her from tomato humiliation.
