Prosecutor Princess Episode 12 Thoughts
Aug. 25th, 2011 11:55 pm- The end... OMG. Stalker In Woo is back and Hye Ri barely has a chance to digest everything she’s learned before having to face him. I have no idea how the hell she is going to react.
- Finally we discover the truth to the mystery – 15 years ago Sang Tae paid for an alibi for the death of a man and it was In Woo’s birth father who was convicted for it. What I’m not certain about is whether Sang Tae actually killed the man or if he just found him and was scared? Also did he simply pay for an alibi or did he actually frame In Woo’s father? I’m curious about how In Woo’s childhood meeting with Hye Ri plays into things? That had to have happened after his father’s conviction. His father died in prison, his mother moved them to the US, remarried (?) and eventually died in a car accident.
- “Because he’s here now my heart feels at ease.” Oh, Hye Ri. She went between happiness at seeing In Woo and having him back and hurt at his continued briskness. I loved that she called him out on his attitude and her confronting him was great. Her asking him, while drunk, “Why did you leave me?” was so sad. So was her pretending to talk to him on the phone.
- Does In Woo realise that she’s in love with him? Or does he still think she’s simply grown really attached to him as a friend and confidant?
- I wish that Hye Ri’s meeting with Bin Yun had played out differently. I would have loved if she’d guessed that it was Bin Yun and then handed Bin the bag and wished her a happy birthday before calling Jung Sun and leaving. Things could have played out the same except with Se Yoon asking about the present and Bin Yun telling him it was from her mother.
- I liked everything that happened with Jung Sun, Hye Ri and Se Yoon. I liked Jung Sun inviting Hye Ri to the birthday dinner, Hye Ri and Se Joon’s discussion where they basically mutually decided their relationship isn’t going anywhere and then both Se Joon and Jung Sun being worried about Hye Ri and speaking up for her to the Chief.
- What happened to In Woo’s hair?
- “Did you trade your attention with a designer bag somewhere?” – Chief. Heee.
- Hye Ri actually wore a suit in this episode. That is the most professional we’ve seen her yet.
- I liked Ae Ja standing up to Sang Tae.
- I loved the Hye Ri/Sang Tae scenes. In the beginning I did not like him because we weren’t given much of a good POV of him. But over the past dozen episodes we have seen a better side to him here and there. And finally in this episode we really get to see his love for his daughter. I loved him telling her that he loved her. I loved him giving her money for dinner – that was such a parental thing to do. I’m actually feeling bad for him now that it’s going to be Hye Ri to bring down all his lies. Is he going to understand and forgive her, or will he hate her for it? At the beginning I would have said the latter but now I think it will be the former. I really hope it’s the former for Hye Ri’s sake.
