White Collar and Chloe King Thoughts

• I love so much that Peter and El keep a framed photo of Neal and Peter dressed up from 3x04 in their living room.
• I loved how Neal was in focus at the end – the first thing that Peter could focus on.
• I loved Neal choosing to stay in New York over leaving with Mozzie and the treasure. It's been obvious since the beginning that he didn't want to go and it's about time that he said it.
• I hated that Peter said “He took my wife” instead of “He took El”. Ugh, ugh. It makes her an object, defines her entirely by her relationship to Peter instead of being about her as a person. Plus it just sounded awkward. God, just every time I think about it it somehow manages to sound even wrong...er. Yuck.
• I’m really hoping that we get some El point-of-view of her kidnapping/being held hostage in the second half of the season.
• Clearly the show is going to have Neal and Mozzie reunite to help save El (since we got a lot of evidence this season of the Mozzie/El friendship).
• When the arms dealer laughed at the idea of Diana being Peter’s muscle I was sure that was going to lead to a payoff where she ended up having to kick his ass – perhaps when they tried to arrest him he'd reach for a gun and she'd have to take him out and then Peter would be all ‘see? Best muscle ever’ – and that not happening felt off.
• I really liked Kramer and I hope we see him again.
• That moment between Peter and Neal when Kramer left – with Neal being smug and pleased and Peter realising the truth – was great.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King 1x10 ‘Beautiful Day’
• I’d be shocked if they actually did kill off Brian. That would be pretty freaking ballsy. Also much darker then I'd thought this show was. My guess for how Brian will survive is that she only thinks he died – instead it will be revealed that he’s actually another god-descended species (like the Mai and Jackals). That does leave open the question of how Alek and Jasmine didn’t realise he wasn’t human though.
• I ship Chloe/Alek between the two guys but I knew pretty much from the beginning that it was heading towards Chloe/Brian. I mean they had the whole Romeo & Juliet thing going for them. But I was still sad how Chloe/Alek ended. Maybe at some date in the future they can try again.
• Unfortunately I’m pretty sure that Valentina is dead (unless Chloe gets some healing power-up in the second season premiere) and I’m sad about that because she was pretty awesome and we didn’t get to see enough of her. I also really want to see more of the Jasmine/Valentina relationship.
• Jasmine I think has a fair chance of surviving – it was a knife wound not poison – and of the three characters dying/dead at the end her death is the one that makes me saddest. If she survives she’s going to be in a horrible place. Her mother’s death and her boyfriend’s betrayal is going to completely destroy her. I can definitely see her turning her back on ever having a ‘normal’ life again.
• I liked the bit of Amy/Meredith we got.
• I wish we’d gotten more Chloe/Jasmine interactions.
• Brian’s grandmother being the big bad is pretty neat – I’m pretty sure that she had Brian’s mom killed and I bet she planted the wedding ring as well (his dad was sincerely shocked, imo) – and I’m interested to see where this is going. It’s beginning to look like his father is really a pawn. The fact that she had Chloe’s father’s book and that she’d been the one e-mailing/texting Chloe is interesting as well. Does this mean then that Chloe’s father is dead?
