The Big Bang Theory 5x02 'The Infestation Hypothesis'

• Sheldon/Penny were delightful. The new door knocking versions were funny. I love that Penny’s having fun with it.

Sheldon: A good wife would go to the store.
Penny: I want a divorce.
Sheldon: Good. On your way to see the lawyer pick up some tea and cookies.

Hee.

• I love Sheldon and Amy’s friendship. I love how they are with each other – they’re completely honest with the smallest things (like Sheldon not wanting to listen to her play the harp) and neither takes offense to it. I loved Amy mocking Sheldon.

Penny: Oh my god, Amy that’s really crappy of you. ... I thought you were my friend.
Amy: Oh no I am your friend, please don’t be mad at me. ... No I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I take it all back! ... Please let me continue to be part of your world.

I really disliked this exchange. Penny completely overreacted and for her to pull that on Amy – who is so socially maladjusted and clearly is much more attached to Penny then she is to her – was actually kind of crappy of her. I would have been less displeased if she’d reacted to Amy’s panic by immediately going ‘Amy, it’s okay, this doesn’t mean I don’t want to be friends’ or something. I felt really bad for Amy. She is just so happy about her friendship with Penny – her reaction to Penny sleeping over in the previous episode for example or her response to Sheldon in this one about her friendship with Penny “Best friends, besties, BFFs, peas in a pod, sisters who would share travelling pants” – that it kind of feels like Penny was kicking a puppy.

• I skipped the Leonard/Priya storyline. Boring and it made me cringe.

• Leonard listing off times Sheldon fixated on something crazy and then over reacted amused me. My favourite was the strangely shaped cloud that he thought was following him around town. I wish we’d seen that episode.

“It’s like living with a Chihuahua.” – Leonard. Hee.

Haven 2x11 ‘Business as Usual’

This was a great episode especially the last half.

• I loved the final scene. I loved how it was shot - Audrey and Duke working together, sitting together (so close they were touching) as they read Simon’s last words to Duke. I love the juxtaposition of how intimate the scene was, how close the two clearly are, and with the words they’re reading telling Duke that he has to kill Audrey.

• Kiss! Audrey and Nathan kissed and it was wonderful. I love how he closed his eyes and then didn’t open them even after she’d pulled away. I loved how much he was trying to help her and protect her in this episode – trying to hold her back to try and protect her from the consequences of her killing the Rev, the fact that he hired a private investigator to look into Lucy Ripley – I love their partnership. They balance each other so well. I loved the hug too.

• I loved that as soon as Audrey showed up on the boat Duke a) immediately went to her leaving behind the box and Dwight, and b) that his first words were to tell her about what he found. That just spoke so much about his relationship with her and the trust that they’ve created between them.

• I loved that Audrey went for Duke and not the man he’d just cut.

• So what was going on during the boat confrontation? Was it the knife that caused it? Is it made to be specifically used against Troubled? Perhaps it confers powers on the person who wields it? Dwight’s blood was soaked into Duke’s hand before whatever the hell happened to him happened so does using the knife against Troubled make the wielder temporarily Troubled themselves? Can only a Crocker use it?

• So Simon Crocker was trying to kill Audrey and set things up so that if he failed Duke could take over his mission. But why kill Audrey? She clearly has something to do with the Troubles – did Simon (and/or the organisation he worked for) believe that Audrey was the cause of the Troubles in some way? Or as the protector of the Troubled do they need to get her out of the way before they can kill them all off (though I doubt that would work)?

• I was actually surprised to learn that Lucy Ripley was yet another person’s life that Audrey assumed. How many different lives has Audrey lived? How far back does this go? And the people who are taking her memories and replacing them – are they trying to protect her?

Dwight: Gimme the key.
Duke: Do I actually have to say no to that or can I just assume it was a rhetorical statement.

LOL. I really enjoyed all the Duke/Dwight scenes. I love how well Duke held his own – physically and mentally.

“Nathan that man is jaywalking.” – Audrey. Heee. The way she said that was perfect.

• Interesting that Stu recognised Audrey and how that seemed to make him trust her. It reminded me also of how Frankie reacted to Nathan in the previous episode.
