Nikita 2x02 Review

• I loved the short scene at the fundraiser where Nikita and Alex came face to face. The expressions on their faces – so complicated. And then they ended up working together to save the day like old times. I hope their separation doesn’t last all season. I would be fine with their personal issues – trust and truth – playing out all season but I really want them working together again. Perhaps as the occasional reluctant allies?
• As always it was great to see Owen. I really enjoy the Nikita/Owen relationship.
• I love the reveal that Owen is working with Ari Tasarov and Gogol. He’s another reoccurring character I enjoy and I think this could go in some very interesting directions. I find myself hoping that when/if Ari discovers that Alex is the daughter of Nikolai Udinov that he’ll take her side and try to help/get her to take over her father’s empire. I think the tensions between Ari, Alex and Nikita would be excellent.
• "Don't give me the goatee of intimidation, I know you won't hurt me." LOL
• I still think Amanda and Oversight letting Birkoff leave was ridiculous but I really love him working with Nikita and Michael. They’re like this little dysfunctional and adorable family. I love how their past history affects their current relationships. The way Nikita and Michael kept exchange looks over Birkoff's head amused me.
• “Birkoff if you want to be conscious for the car ride home shut up.” Hee. Also ‘home’ even before he stated they could stay. Yeah, they know their nerd.
• I like that Birkoff’s speech to Alicia didn’t work. Him trying to equate his situation to hers did not work for me.
• Nikita kicking the gun from Alicia’s hand from the moving car was badass.
