Doctor Who 6x07 Immediate Reaction

iariaOMG. That was just... *hands* I don’t know. WHAT WAS THAT?! Wow.
River Song is Melody Pond who is half-human/half-time lord... omfgwtf?! WHAT?!
First reaction: I LOVE IT. That was awesome. I ended the episode with a huge grin on my face. There may have been some squeeing but if not it was only because I was shocked into delighted speechlessness and my hands were glued to my face in glee.
Now at the moment I'm not sure if it's because I really do love this twist that much or if it's just relief that it's something I don't hate.
I was really worried. I spent a lot of the episode pretty tense and anxious. I was nervous about the reveal of who River really was and the truth about Amy's baby. I never seriously suspected they were connected. There were a couple of times that I was even honestly worried that Melody would turn out to be the Doctor's daughter somehow. I would have hated that. So maybe it's just relief. And I'm sure when I think about it more I will find some issues with it.
But at the moment I'm still grinning.
