Grey's Anatomy 15x11 Thoughts

Really good episode. Very emotional and well done.
+ I'm glad that they kept the episode focused on only two storylines with appearances of characters outside of them only where appropriate. It made the episode work so much better.
+ I loved Koracick/Amelia. Their scene before surgery was wonderful and I loved that moment during it when Koracick got paralysed by seeing Catherine's face and Amelia managed to help him in a face saving way.
+ I loved Jackson putting his mother's favourite song on and dancing with her before her surgery. That everyone else also began dancing with them was great.
+ I've had a lot of problems with Thatcher in that I've pretty much disliked him since he first showed up and have found Meredith way too forgiving. But I liked how this episode played out between him and Meredith. I like a lot that Meredith got to be angry and confronted him with her hurt. I like that he came back to make amends and that she chose to accept it and that they ended on a good note (for her sake). I liked them sharing how much they missed Lexie and bonding over dealing with Ellis. I like that he died while Meredith held his face and talked about her children and the last scene was of her with her kids, sharing his gifts for them.
+ When it showed Richard sitting alone at the end I was really expecting to see Meredith to show up and was really disappointed when she didn't. I really feel like we need a post-Thatcher death Meredith/Richard moment. All that history, Thatcher and Richard's unexpected friendship at the end, Meredith getting her goodbye because of Richard. I hope we get that because if not :(
