• Jane/Maura were very femslashy this episode.
- At the end I really got the sense of Maura being a part of the Rizzoli family and it was almost as if she was Jane’s SO in that scene.
- Then at the beginning we have that exchange between Jane and her brother:
“Because I told my friend I would.”
“Your friend.”
And the way the Frank said ‘your friend’ came off very much as him questioning her use of ‘friend’ to describe Maura. That he was questioning which friend or Maura being her friend doesn’t make sense. With the former he knows that Maura is who Jane is looking for since she just asked him, and for the latter of course he’d know they were friends. That just leaves taking it how I did which is hella slashy. I wonder if he does think there is more between them?
- The fact that Jane would do something she hates doing for Maura makes me ‘awww’ but especially this: “I said that I would do this because we said that we wanted to do something together.” They’re so great.
• Frost was also great.
• As for the case I felt so sorry for Courtney (and her sister) and I can’t feel sorry for the guys who died though I do feel horrible that Courtney is now going to be going for jail for a long, long time. Sigh. At least the lead asshole will also being going to jail though likely for not near as long as he should.
