I was struck anew about the lack of physicality in kdramas (and I’m assuming jdramas). If this was re-made into a Western show there would be kissing everywhere and almost kisses and sexual tension and walking in on the other person in the shower and making out and very possibly sex. Instead we get two very chaste close-lipped kisses in the entire sixteen episodes. And overall I’m not actually bothered by no sex but in some cases the lack of physical affection really sticks out. When he confessed his love for her in 16 and they truly kissed for the first time it should have been – passionate. It just came off very weird considering.
